I have come to realize a very important deception in the media and the political analyst. This applies to a whole lot of the talking heads so watch out for it once you have read this explanation. First, I need to point out that the system has setup three ‘buzz words’.
They are Right, Left and center. Also known as, the Conservative Right Wing, the Liberal Left Wing and the Moderate Center respectively. Now, the ‘Right Wing’ is the crazy stuff shirt intolerant Christian types. And the ‘Left’ is the crazy ex-hippie, socialist. And the ‘Center’ is a middle of the road patriot type.
Notice how around election time they all start heading to the center on their ideals. To make themselves appear more moderate and less ‘crazy’. So, we will feel more comfortable with them and perhaps cast our vote their way.
What I believe is that this map of where you stand is twisted. What I mean is that at the CENTER of the gauge should be the ‘Right’ with their backs to the center line. Then the ‘Left’ should be back to back with their counterpart. Now this gives you something more descriptive of the way things actually are. That at the ‘Center’ of the scale you have people with CORE beliefs. That believes strongly in something. They may have a very opposite view of the others in the center of the gauge, but they have beliefs.
So the scale works outward in one direction or another as the strength of a core belief system fades. So, if this is the way things actually are, then a Right wing nut or Left wing loony at least believes in something. They take a stand for something that may not be popular with everyone. They are willing to piss a few people off by actually having an opinion.
The so called ‘Center’ politicians turn out to be wishy-washy spineless wannabes. Who actually are the LAST person you should vote for. IMHO

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the U.S. might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your home you insist that I leave. But, I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors: I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest ... except for that part where I broke into your house.
"According to the protestors, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan and provide other benefits for me and my family. My husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest ... except for that breaking in thing.
"If you try to call the police or force me out I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be here. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest .... ummmmm .... except for that breaking in thing.
"Besides. What a deal it is for me! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being anti-housebreaker!
Did I miss anything? Does this sound reasonable to you? If it does, grab a sign and go picket something. If this sounds insane to you call your senators and enlighten them because they are stumbling in the darkness right now and really need your help.

I am glad we are militarizing the border. Heck, why is the Border Patrol and the Coast Guard treated differently? Don’t they do the same job? Is it somehow different on land then it is on water? Why aren’t we taking care of things in a uniform and military manner on land? Are Mexicans more favorable than Cubans or Dominicans? Couldn’t the ‘WAR ON DRUGS’ money fund some of this, since the drugs come in through the border?
CNN'S LATEST 'MISTAKE'This is getting to be a regular thing over at CNN. Last night, CNN went to President Bush for his speech...but wait, it wasn't his speech. (video) The president got a bad cue from the NBC pool cameras. The video they aired was 16 seconds long...just enough to embarrass George W. Bush. CNN called it a mistake. Sure it was. Not one other cable or broadcast news channel aired this false start ... but CNN did. Can you see where this might lead people to one conclusion: somebody at CNN did it on purpose. Of course, they've done stuff like this before...remember the black X over Cheney's face during a speech he gave?
Then again... it could just be a lack of skill in the control room. Good help is hard to find these days. Maybe it is the lack of education or the temporary workers. HA HA HA.

It turns out that evil George Bush's tax cuts seem to be having the intended effect--increased tax revenues flowing into the Treasury as a result of all that economic activity. TaxProfBlog has the numbers, showing revenue for April 2005 and April 2006. Individual income tax revenues rose from $547 billion to $603 billion--and as painful as it was, my check to IRS last month was only a tiny part of that. Corporate income tax revenues rose from $134 billion to $174 billion.

What is up this Week?
I will only address the immigrant story/protests with only these few remarks.
1st, Ten years ago, Congress voted and past legislation to make it harder for illegal immigration and by making the prosecution tougher. That has worked splendidly.
2nd, I don’t care about the plight of ‘ILLEGAL’ anybody. You break the law, you are a criminal.
3rd, Based on the fact that there were Indigenous people here in 1492, when Columbus ‘discovered’ the land, WE ARE ALL WET BACKS!!!!
Differences Between Butter And Margarine
Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed
the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back.
It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings.
DO YOU KNOW...the difference between margarine and butter?
Read on to the end...gets very interesting! Both have the same amount of calories.
Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5
grams. Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating
the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.
Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other
foods. Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!
Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years.
And now, for Margarine. Very high in Trans fatty acids. Triple risk of coronary heart disease.
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and
lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol). Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold.
Lowers quality of breast milk. Decreases immune response. Decreases insulin response.
And here's the most disturbing fact.... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY
INTERESTING!
Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC. This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).
You can try this yourself:
Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area.
Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:
*no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)
*it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional
value; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weenie microorganisms will not find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?
